Watching it again in 2012, I still found myself laughing and thrilled by the action. RED to me is one movie all must see just to have it in your record that you have seen it. Then go see it again, to make sure all the scenes are well registered in your memory.

The movie is loosely based on the three-issue comic book series of the same name. The issues were created by Warren Ellis (Hellblazer) and Cully Hamner (Green Lantern: Mosaic), and published by DC Comics.

The name RED is an acronym for the main character's designation of status, as the agent Frank Moses of the CIA was tagged RED, meaning "Retired, Extremely Dangerous".

The movie is an oldies reunion, and well done to them all for their magnificent acting.

Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) used to be a hired gun for the CIA. His speciality was carrying out jobs that the government wants hush, hush. Frank and his old crew, Joe (Morgan Freeman), Marvin (John Malkovich), and Victoria (Helen Mirren) — are now all retired. But the powers that be still see them as a threat, and a dispatch team of top assassins is hired to silence them.

Now, Frank and his former team members realise that their only hope for survival is to break into CIA headquarters and expose the truth. What the truth is, is what you have to watch to find out.

Along for the ride is Frank’s love connection, Sarah, who was initially kidnapped by Frank and later tagged along with the crew when her life too was in danger.

Directed by Robert Schwentke, this movie is a perfect mix of comedy and action and of course film magic, to make you go, WOW!!!

I need to remind you before you go see this movie, that it is a comedy, meaning many of the scenes are too farfetched which can be annoying. Also, the way the movie managed the romance between Frank and Sarah is very unrealistic and can be frustrating to witness, and how Sarah survived this entire movie without dying, is also one thing in the movie that stretches believability.

Talks are on about a sequel. Hope it works out, it will be nice to see the crew again and witness the fantastic acting powers they all pulled to make each of their character and this movie memorable.

This is a great movie, one I have seen numerous times, and I highly recommend that all should see it too.
